Ingam runs only when you press a pay button and usually answers in under a second. Most of the time you'll just see a green seal and the payment continues.
No. Ingam never reads payment fields. It sends the store's domain and the total, nothing else.
You're always in control. Press "Pay anyway," and Ingam remembers the store next time. You can also tell us the check was wrong, which helps everyone.
